Cookies are small files a website keeps in your browser. Browser storage, also called local storage, works in a similar way. This policy explains what fleetveda.com and the FleetVeda app at app.fleetveda.com store, and why. None of it is used for advertising.
This website
fleetveda.com sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
The FleetVeda app
The app uses a few essential cookies, a few that remember your preferences, and one that remembers your analytics choice. Essential cookies are always on, because the app cannot work without them.
Essential. The app cannot sign you in or keep you signed in without these.
| Cookie | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
fx_access | Keeps you signed in with a short lived session token. | 15 minutes |
fx_refresh | Renews your session without asking you to sign in again. | 30 days |
fx_uid | Ties the session to your account, so an old cookie cannot sign you in as someone else. | 30 days |
Preferences. These remember how you like the app, so the first screen already looks right.
| Cookie | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
fx_lang | Your language, English or Hindi. | 1 year |
fx_text | Your text size. | 1 year |
fx_sidebar | Whether the side menu is collapsed. | 1 year |
fx_locked | Which add-ons are off for your company, so their screens open correctly. | 30 days |
Your choice. This one remembers your answer to the analytics question.
| Cookie | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
fx_consent | Whether you allowed analytics. It mirrors the choice saved on your account. | 1 year |
Analytics, only if you allow it
The first time you sign in, the app asks whether to allow analytics. Only after you choose “Allow analytics” does it start Mixpanel, which keeps an identifier and its settings in your browser’s local storage and records sessions with all text on screen masked. If you choose “Essential only”, Mixpanel never starts.
If you allow analytics and later turn it off, the app stops Mixpanel, clears its identifier and keeps a small marker in local storage so it stays off in that browser. Our privacy policy explains what Mixpanel receives.
Other browser storage
The app also keeps a few settings in your browser that never leave your device, such as light or dark theme, the map style you picked and a trip form you have not saved yet.
Changing your choice
In the app, open Settings and use the Usage analytics switch under Privacy. On the customer portal and the driver screens, the switch is at the foot of the page. Your choice is saved on your account, so it follows you to other browsers and devices. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time, which signs you out.
